This is my face on Madame Moitessier. She was drawn by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. Ingres thinks as himself as a history painter, more then a portraits. It is ironic, however, because he is very famous because of his portrait photos of Madame Moitessier, for example. I chose this picture because of the simplicity of her face and the softness that he portrayed her to look like.
